National Produce Consultants Doubles Size of Plano HQ

PLANO, Texas – National Produce Consultants LLC has more than doubled the size of its headquarters office, taking its total to 7,081 sf in Republic Place.

To accommodate the company’s expansion needs, Bradford Commercial Real Estate Services’ management office has relocated to the first floor of the class A office building at 555 Republic Dr. in Plano. The long-time tenant has picked up 3,997 sf of additional office space and elevator exposure on the third floor with the newly crafted lease.

“This expansion has been on the company’s radar for awhile. We had everything ready to go so we could move quickly,” says Elizabeth Robertson, director of advisory services for Dallas-based Bradford. She partners with Richmond Collinsworth, first vice president, and Jared Laake, market director, to lease Republic Place for the landlord, 555 Republic LLC.

Negotiations went full circle within one month, building in co-terminus expiration with the in-place lease. Kent Smith of NAI Robert Lynn represented the tenant.

“The landlord worked hard to accommodate the tenant’s needs,” Collinsworth says.

National Produce Consultants has had its headquarters in Republic Place since 2003. The company is a leader in supply chain management of fresh produce for growers, distributors, sellers and end users. It primarily supplies national and regional restaurant chains, health-care businesses and food-feeding organizations.

“National Produce Consultants’ long-term tenancy is a testament to the strong ownership and our on-site management staff,” says Jared Laake, one of Bradford’s market directors.

In the eight months that Bradford’s been at the leasing helm, Republic Place’s occupancy has ticked up 10% to 75%. The deals in the pipeline will boost that to 80% in the near future. The largest block of available space is 15,000 sf on the top floor of the five-story building.

Republic Place, visible from Central Expressway, is positioned less than a block from the freeway. A Dallas-Area Rapid Transit station is located within walking distance as are several restaurants. Tenant amenities include shared conference rooms with video-conferencing capability and Meridian Business Center executive suites.
